Riley in the Nicu!
In August Julia contacted me to do Riley's newborn photos. She was so excited to have her little girl and was getting her ducks in a row for her arrival. Little did she know that Riley would make her grand entrance a few months early! When I had heard the news that Riley was in the NICU I reached out to Julia to see if she would like for me to come out to the hospital and document their journey there. My family has had some experience with the NICU life and so I knew how hard this was going to be for them! When I got to the hospital I didn't see teenie little girl, I saw a fierce fighter! She was nursing like crazy and completely content watching her mommy and daddy while they did skin to skin. She even went through 3 diapers in 1 go while I was there, a very hilarious moment for Julia and I, I am not so sure if it was hilarious for Levi! I can't wait until Riley gets out of the hospital. She is going to be keeping up with her brothers before you know it!
It is rare for me to preview a session in black and white, but it just felt right to me!
